Ghost in the Shell: Completely Yay.
Ghost in the Shell (the movie) was one of my very first forays into the realm of anime, and I remember many a nights in which I watched the movie over and over again— fascinated by the story’s premise, the animation, the music — it was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I think it was only eclipsed in my juvenile interest by Akira.
I do have a guilty admission: I’ve never watched any GitS series, but only out of love for the original movie. I just can’t imagine anything much better, and I don’t want to risk it.
