awkwardpariah replied to your post: So have you heard the first confirmed song from Pixar’s “Brave,” Tha Mo Ghaol Air Àird A’ Chuain? Its got me convinced that I’m going to leave the theater talking in an accent my family hasn’t used since we were exiled to Nova Scotia in 1685.
Listen to the song, its done by someone who actually has talent.
I share your concerns about a love interest being shoehorned into the movie btw. This is Disney after all, where everything has to be coated in a fine layer of 1950s morality. Lets just hope Pixar stays true to their own standards.
So true on both counts. I feel like the 90s thrust a lot of shitty “Celtic” talent down our throats, so it’s quite possible that there are genuine artists still out there.
Also, I really do hope Disney lets Pixar take the lead on all of this. My favorite Disney-produced films are, without fail, always the ones Disney, as a company, had the least to do with. They’re just a marketing machine at this point, sacrificing quality for easy money-making schemes. It’s a pathetic state of being— one that I pray never creeps into our own creative endeavors.
