Just a random example of my own script vs. a finished comic page, FindChaos.
Note: Not all comic writers write in the same format and sometimes I don’t assign certain panels, but rather leave it to the artist to find their flow within the pages I outline. However, this is an example of a directly translated comic page that had each panel written specifically for translation to the drawn page. I always ask for a rough outline of each page before it’s drawn
So, the next time you criticize a writer for not also being the artist of a comic, think of the time and effort the writer took to get the artist that piece of inspiration.
A post in which everyone can learn I really am the muscle in this outfit while K is the brains. If we were an old-timey criminal pair in the movies, I’d have stunted speech and humorously bungle all of her schemes. But seriously, let this be a record of how awesome K is at her job. Without her, I’d just be scribblings butts on post-it notes.

I love seeing this kind of behind the scenes extras with comics. It’s fun to see the process of the writer and artist....

Whoa, that’s really cool! I always knew you wrote and K. illustrated FindChaos but seeing those two images juxtaposed like that was really awesome. Thanks!
