I don’t think this is real. It all sounded like a troll joke to me. I mean she doesn’t sound like a normal homophobe
While there is a very strong possibility that ‘Sophie’ is just a troll, as evidenced by her previous appearances online, it really begs the point of what constitutes a troll and genuine hate and harassment. Anyone who spends that much time hating on one particular subject so vehemently, even for a joke’s sake, has to have some kernel of genuine emotion behind it. Otherwise, why bother?
It’s unfortunate that I get a lot of these sorts of letters or comments, this was just the first to be so ‘informative’ that I felt like replying to it in a somewhat earnest fashion. It’s also unfortunate that I can’t go about my day normally without receiving drivel like this on a regular basis. I can only imagine this is true for a lot of people in the LGBTQ community as well. I could have easily ignored it, but I thought it would be better to face it with humor instead of taking the words to heart and dwelling on them all day.
If nothing else, I hope the next person who gets hateful feedback takes this example to heart and brushes them off with a laugh. It’s all people like that deserve.

For me, the loud pushy people like her are easy to ignore or shut down (although I’m not as eloquent as you), Its the people who suddenly dissappear upon discovering the real me that bother me the most.
