Honestly, I think I’m already 95% of the way to being an old person. I’m usually not “up” on the latest technology (unless it has to do with art production), and what devices I do have, I just keep until they perish naturally. My cellphone is about six years old and my MP3 player is about 9 years old, and neither of them were ever an i-Anything. Whenever K gingerly suggests that I get a new player, I wave her off angrily and clutch its dented metal husk to my bosom. Because it still works, damnit.
Still, Project Glass looks both fascinating and stupid all at once. It seems like an idea I’ve seen before… But I think it’s sort of what’s going to happen, anyway. People will want this, and soon they’ll all probably be using them. Meanwhile, I’ll be practicing my smoke signals.
