I’m just glad it was over with fast. Still not sure what Mary’s age is so in my head she’s 16 and gah, no, bad! In my state 16 is legal, but doesn’t mean I endorse it. But this is fiction, I can be as opinionated as I like so long as I’m respectful.♥

If it makes you feel any better, though Mary’s age isn’t explicitly stated anywhere, there are hints that it’s definitely 18+. For one, Mary’s appearance in the asylum is during Arthur’s still-blonde-hair phase, which comes before the blue— and he was seen with blue hair, being taken back to the asylum before the next chapter begins with “5 years later,” where the story eventually leads into the current era, so to speak.

For another, the fact she was placed in a halfway house rather than state foster care would also imply that she’s safely out of the “very young” stage and legally an adult. So while she may be young, she’s definitely not under 18. You’re safe from viewing any underage naughtiness today!
